We are Jimmy and Karen McCulley. We have two sons, Daniel-with his wife Kelsey, and two children; Kylie and Hayden, and Tyler-with his wife Haley and two children; Carter and Oliver. We would like to share our family's story with you.
Jimmy and I grew up with our family farms joining on the back side, both having a love for agriculture. We married shortly after high school. We continued to grow tobacco and operate a dairy. After a down turn in the tobacco and dairy business we decided to wade into some uncharted waters. We planted our first strawberries, pumpkins, and cornmazes, all in the same year. It was a matter of survival for us to stay on the farm. No one had heard about corn mazes or going to a real pumpkin patch to get pumpkins. It seemed a perfect fit for us, we could continue to produce farm products, market them here on our family farm and share information about agriculture with everyone. What about some of the other experiences we had on the farm? Why not share those too?
We both grew up with family, friends, and cousins who lived in the "city" that came to visit. Not ony were they coming to see us, but they were coming to enjoy farm life. We would take them to the the new baby calf, sheep, goats, and even chickens. The kids would go to the barn to play in the hay, go to the woods, and many evenings were spent taking a hayride, roasting corn, hamburgers and hotdogs on a grill. We have such fond memories of those times that we decided to start sharing those "unforgettable memories" with others. Inviting them to come and "create unforgettable memories" of their own.
That was the beginning of Amazin' Acres of Fun. It is our goal to create an atmosphere that is not only loads of fun, but also relaxing and educational. It is good clean fun for everyone. Grandparents enjoy their walk down memory lane as they recall some of their fondest memories and share their personal pioneer day experiences with their families! Children petting or feeding farm animals for the first time, playing in the barn, and milking a cow too. Over the years we have greatly expanded our business by adding new activities each year. We would love for you to come join us at our family farm to create some truly unforgettable memories. We hope it is memories and traditions that keep you coming back!
