Pioneer Day
Ag-tivities
Amazin'
Acres has many hands-on ag-tivities from pioneer days that make your
experience
not only fun but memorable and educational.
The
Straw Crawl
The Straw Crawl offers
some old fashion, country fun and
play inside our barn. They can experience pioneer play as they
find their
way through a maze of straw bales, jump in the straw, and climb
The
Country Critters, Goat Walk and Bunnyville
The Country Critters,
Goat Walk and Bunnyville all give
everyone an opportunity to feed or pet our animals. Watch the
rabbits
play in Bunnyville and watch as the goats frolic and play on the Goat
Walk. Feeding the animals during pioneer days was a chore for the
pioneer
children but it is good clean fun today!
Duck
Races
Another hands-on
agtivity are our Duck Races! Kids
and adults get to experience drawing water from a well with the old
fashion
water pumps. This is not only educational but it is fun and
entertaining
for everyone.
Pig
Races
Pig Races were enjoyed
by early pioneer communities.
They would have social gatherings with Pig Races and other
sports. This
is as fun now as then. Just pick your pig and watch as it races
to the
finish line. You might even hear a pig squeal. This is fun
for
everyone!
Corn
Box
Early pioneers had corn
cribs to keep their supply of
corn. This was an important part of the food supply not only for
themselves but for their animals. Everyone can experience play in
the
corn crib. You might even learn some modern day uses for corn!
Join around a camp fire
to roast hotdogs or
marshmallows. Fun for everyone.
